São Paulo’s largest June festival is a charity event with a focus on accessibility
The Votorantim festival seeks to include all audiences. For this reason, the event features a PWD-accessible area and sign language interpreters at the shows, in addition to “Hour of Silence” on Thursdays (6:00 PM to 8:00 PM), when all sounds are turned off so that people with ASD can enjoy the event comfortably.
In addition to entertainment, the festival has an important philanthropic aspect: local associations run the entire food court, donating the profits to their social projects.
