If you’ve ever watched one of those movies in which chefs prepare mouth-watering dishes and thought: “wow, I want to try that!”, you’ll love this news. That’s because, from October 31 to November 10, São Paulo is hosting the 3rd edition of the São Paulo Food Film Fest.
The screenings are free and spectators have the opportunity to participate in tastings of unforgettable dishes from the movies. In addition, the program includes cycles of debates and show classes.
What can I expect from this year’s Food Film Fest?
In 2024, the screenings will take place at Reserva Cultural and Centro Cultural São Paulo (CCSP). In addition, the public at home will also be able to watch the films via the official platform.
For the tastings at the end of some screenings, the São Paulo Food Film Fest is counting on the presence of partner chefs. For example, André Henrique Graziano, Beto Jr, Cintia Sanches, Daniela Guariba, Francisco Sant’Ana, Gui Cardadeiro, João Salinas, Leila D’Barsoles, Lilian Souza, Luis Guadanicci, Marcella Bolzan, Simone Gomes and Telma Shiraishi.
The full program is not yet available, but you can check it out here. Among the titles announced are: ‘Estômago 2 – O Poderoso Chef’, ‘A Viúva Clicquot – A Mulher que Formou um Império’, ‘O Segredo do Grão’ and others.
Debates and classes
For this year’s show classes, the Food Film Fest is bringing chefs Tainá Marajoara, from Belém do Pará, and Tereza Paim, from Bahia, to present new flavors and perfumes in the city of São Paulo . Alê Luvisotto and Elisa Mafra, resident chefs in the city, complete the team with a show on the history of couscous.
Finally, this year’s Festival invites us to think about current models of production and consumption, with food being the main topic of reflection.
