Inspired by the songs of the Swedish group ABBA, the musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ tells the story of Sophie who, in order to find out who her father is, invites three of her mother’s former relatives to her wedding. Mixing humor, romance and emotion, the musical is set on a quiet island in Greece and has been a hit with audiences since its premiere in 1999.
The last Brazilian staging of the musical was in 2023, directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho. Due to its success, the play is back in São Paulo with Claudia Netto, Maria Brasil and Gottsha in the lead roles.
Its iconic soundtrack features acclaimed ABBA songs such as “Dancing Queen”, “Mamma Mia” and “The Winner Takes It All”. So get ready to sing along with the cast in an evening full of humor and romance!
