What to expect from ‘Mean Girls – The Musical’?
The story follows Cady Heron, played by Laura Castro, a teenager who moves to the United States after living in Africa with her parents.
When she joins a new school, she finds herself torn between her friends Janis and Damian and the group of popular girls: Karen, Gretchen and the dreaded Regina George.
From then on, manipulation, revenge and many twists and turns are part of the plot, which portrays the social dynamics of adolescence in a realistic and entertaining way.
The Brazilian version is directed by Mariano Detry, also responsible for the hit ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – the Musical’.
The cast also includes Anna Akisue as the unforgettable Regina George and Danielle Winits as Mrs. Heron, Mrs. George and Miss Norbury.
