Faith, decolonization and ancestry are some of the themes of the new exhibition ‘Para Falar de Amor’, which is currently showing in São Paulo. Curated by Saulo di Tarso, it brings together works by around 60 artists from around the world, who explore new forms of urban art in their work.
The exhibition is on until this Sunday, the 6th, in one of the capital’s historic and centenary landmarks. It’s the former Noviciado Nossa Senhora das Graças Irmãs Salesianas, now a retrofit Alfa Realty. Admission is free, just pick up your tickets free of charge via the official website. Check it out:
‘Para Falar de Amor’ occupies a century-old mansion in the north zone
Standing since 1924 in the Ipiranga neighborhood, the old Novicado is a cultural and historical heritage site in the capital. And now, after 15 years closed to the public, it is opening its doors to an incredible exhibition of contemporary art, which is giving new meaning to its spaces.
In total, ‘Para Falar de Amor’ features 60 artists from different nationalities. Together, they explore themes such as love and faith through various media and formats: paintings, poetry and even performances.
The proposal is to bring new reflections on these themes, which escape the polarity we currently witness.
One of the names at the exhibition is Dionisio Ateliê, which is presenting an innovative 360° work of art to the public. The work, which is in partnership with Casa NFL, features artists Paulo Bruno, Michele Micha, Nemvi, Bárbara Gorgueira and Maddu Magalhães.
It offers a multi-faceted sensory experience that induces visitors to reflect on human creativity and its extremes: from discomfort to creative ecstasy.
