The date for the first edition of Cinema Week 2026 has already been set! From February 5 to 11, movie lovers across the country will be able to purchase tickets at reduced prices, as well as promotional snack combos. Theaters throughout the city of São Paulo are participating in the initiative, transforming the big screen into an affordable outing for all budgets.
The last edition took place in August 2025, when Brazilian theaters sold more than 3.4 million tickets. Will we break a new record this time?

How did Cinema Week come about?
The project is an initiative of the National Federation of Film Exhibition Companies (FENEEC), with support from the Brazilian Association of Multiplex Film Exhibition Companies (Abraplex). It debuted in 2022, with the goal of bringing audiences back to theaters after a period of social isolation.
Currently, the event continues as a thank you to the loyal audience that keeps the industry alive, also serving as an incentive to fill movie theaters in the face of the advance of streaming services. In other words: your participation helps strengthen the magic of in-person cinema!
