So, if you love discovering places that breathe art and culture and also yield great clicks keep an eye out for this tip.
Do you know the most beautiful bar in São Paulo?
Casa de Francisca has been part of the São Paulo music scene since 2006, when it was known as the smallest concert hall in São Paulo. In an effort to expand its audience, in 2017 it moved to Palacete Tereza Toledo Lara, a historic building in the central region of São Paulo.
Inaugurated in 1910, the palace is a city heritage site, preserving its imposing and eclectic original architecture to this day. The European-inspired building features colorful stained glass windows and impressive ornaments such as statues, ornaments and garlands.
In other words, just from the outside you can see why Casa de Francisca can be considered the most beautiful bar in São Paulo. But it doesn’t stop there. Inside, the concert hall has a vivid and affective decoration, full of colors – green, yellow, red – that remind us of the Brazilian festive spirit.
The light poles also create a charming and cozy atmosphere, especially at night. All this while respecting the building’s original features, in a blend of modernism and tradition which adds even more charm to the experience.
Casa de Francisca is the best place to listen to music in the capital
As well as attracting attention with its decor, the bar-restaurant also wins over São Paulo residents with its soundtrack. In 2024, the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper voted Casa de Francisca the best bar for listening to music in São Paulo, in honor of the dozens of concerts that take place there.
From samba to reggae or MPB, the house offers a diverse and accessible musical program, with renowned or emerging artists, with a focus on Brazilian music.
As for food and drink, the house is open for lunch and dinner, with dishes that also exalt national cuisine. Feijoada, arroz do mar and artisanal gnocchi are some of the options, with traditional or signature drinks and wines to accompany them.
But remember that the kitchen is not open during the shows! That way, everyone can enjoy the artists on stage with total focus.
