We recently reported on a coffee shop in São Paulo inspired by “Kiki’s Delivery Service”one of Studio Ghibli’s hits. And now, the capital will be home to yet another Asian series-themed space: Café Cardcaptor Sakura, inspired by the amusing adventures of Sakura Kinomoto. Check out everything we know about it below!
Meet the Cardcaptor Sakura Café by Akiba Station
São Paulo’s newest themed café is the result of a partnership between Akiba Station a collectibles store in Liberdade, and Artworks Entertinment.
The café has not yet opened, but we already have some spoilers of what’s to come. In addition to instagrammable spaces, the menu will feature food and drinks inspired by Cardcaptors Sakura, promising to delight fans of the anime. In addition, a themed store will bring exclusive collectible items, so you can take a little piece of Sakura’s universe home with you!
When will we be able to visit the new themed coffee shop in SP?
According to Akiba Station, the café is already ready to welcome visitors and was scheduled to open next week, on February 14. However, for reasons of “force majeure involving the need for resolution on the part of the energy distribution company in the city of São Paulo”, the opening date had to be rescheduled.
The new date will be announced soon on Akiba Station’s official Instagram, so keep an eye out so you don’t miss any news!
Café Cardcaptor Sakura by Akiba Station will be located at Rua Thomaz Gonzaga, 18, in Liberdade. After all, an anime-themed café couldn’t be anywhere else but the most Asian neighborhood in São Paulo.
